The posts from here on in are going to be a bit fragmented. I will loose my ability to download and view pictures this coming Sunday, the day I fly to Athen's for two days of Parthenon and Acropolis viewing. (An explanation later, not now. I will have to wait for over two weeks until I get back to Florida to my main computer to take care of the problem.) But now to today's event, the car trip to the southern most point on the island and back via the Empress's Palace. She is known as "Sissi". She was both Empress and Queen.
As she exists today, outside the entrance
The entrance lobby
As it existed in 1892 when it was built. From an albumen print in a scrapbook
(In a glass case)
The chapel immediately to the right off of the entrance lobby
The lobby is the first of four landings
(We are operating with artificial light)
The first landing
We are into the garden and it is close to 4AM and I am tired.
So - some fun ones to close with and more tomorrow.

I do like to do self portraits
Winery across the street from the Castle saying... Please come in.
I think this is what the industry calls a loss leader.
